A three-day international trade exhibition titled ‘Top Thai Brands 2026’ was officially inaugurated today at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon in Dhaka, aiming to bolster bilateral trade, investment opportunities, and commercial partnerships between Bangladesh and Thailand. Commerce Minister Khandakar Abdul Muktadir inaugurated the flagship event as the Chief Guest at 1:00 PM, bringing together 57 leading Thai manufacturers, Bangladeshi entrepreneurs, government officials, and industry leaders under one roof to showcase high-quality Thai products and services.
Organized by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) under the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand, in collaboration with the Royal Thai Embassy in Dhaka, the exhibition serves as a direct bridge between Thai exporters and Bangladesh’s growing consumer market. The multi-sector showcase features a wide array of products, including processed foods, cosmetics, healthcare items, jewelry, building materials, pet food, and consumer goods.
Following the formal inauguration, the Commerce Minister toured the exhibition stalls alongside key diplomats and trade delegates, interacting directly with participating companies to discuss their expansion strategies in Bangladesh.
A central focus of this year's event is the dedicated Business Matchmaking Sessions designed to connect Thai manufacturers directly with local importers, distributors, and retailers. These B2B interactions aim to streamline product sourcing, dealership agreements, and long-term commercial ties between the two Asian economies.
Speaking on the strategic value of the event, commerce officials highlighted the importance of direct trade channels, "Trade exhibitions like Top Thai Brands play a pivotal role in creating direct connections between international manufacturers and local distributors. It offers a transparent platform for Bangladeshi entrepreneurs to secure quality sourcing and build lasting commercial ties."
Alongside the trade showcase, the three-day event offers visitors an immersive cultural experience featuring authentic Thai dance performances, Muay Thai martial arts demonstrations, fashion shows, and raffle draws.
The exhibition will remain open to business professionals, trade delegations, and the general public daily from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM through Saturday, July 25, 2026.
